Serving Children and Reaching Families, LLC (SCARF) is a comprehensive mental health, substance abuse and parenting provider. We offer outpatient services in Osceola, Orange, Seminole, and Polk Counties.

Our target population consists of children, adolescents, and adults, who may be part of the Department of Children and Family Agency; adolescents who are in the Department of Juvenile Justice System, and children who are at -risk of being removed from their parents. The chosen candidate for this position will serve as a community-oriented Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and actively collaborate within an interdisciplinary outpatient team. At our facility, we are committed to promoting recovery and adhering to the highest standards of mental health service delivery. The registered nurse will play a vital role in closely collaborating with the treatment team to develop and implement comprehensive, recovery-focused treatment plans.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts diagnostic psychiatric evaluations to assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
- Provides ongoing psychiatric management, including psychopharmacologic treatment and appropriate forms of psychotherapeutic support.
- Collaborates with the treatment team to offer crisis intervention as needed.
- Ensures comprehensive healthcare needs are identified and treated, while educating individuals about their illness and providing health management information and techniques.
- Engages in team consultations and clinical supervision, actively participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
- Documents clinical care in the electronic clinical record.
- Serves as backup physician/nurse practitioner coverage when needed for facility outpatient services.
Required Skills:
_- Assessment and Evaluation - Skilled in conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including evaluating mental health status, risk assessment, and identifying potential psychiatric disorders or symptoms.
- Medication Administration and Management - Knowledge of psychotropic medications, their indications, side effects, and proper administration. Ability to monitor medication effectiveness and manage medication-related issues.
- Crisis Intervention - Ability to assess and manage psychiatric emergencies and crises, including de-escalation techniques, suicide risk assessment, and implementation of appropriate interventions.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration - Capacity to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, case managers, and occupational therapists, to develop holistic treatment plans.

Position Summary:
Applicant for this position is a 1099 Independent Contractor who provides Outpatient Mental Health services to adults and adolescents. Duties include assessing, monitoring, advocating on behalf of, and linking clients to community resources. Services are provided to clients who meet Medicaid or state criteria for case management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
To be eligible as a Mental Health Targeted Case Manager at Serving Children and Reaching Families, LLC, an applicant must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a Human Service-related field from an accredited college or university;
- One year of Full-Time or equivalent experience providing targeted case management services to adults experiencing serious mental illness and/or children with emotional disturbances;
- Has completed the CBHCM certification provided by the Florida Certification Board or currently holds a provisional certification.
- Has knowledge of available resources within service area(s); Polk, Osceola, Orange County

Position Summary:
The community-oriented Psychiatrist will serve in a supervisory and consultative role as part of an interdisciplinary outpatient team. The facility operates with a recovery- and best practice-oriented mission, and the psychiatrist will contribute to the clinical quality and integrity of mental health services provided.
This is a contracted position with a compensation of up to $3,500 per month, based on the completion of designated deliverables. This role is not based on hourly work but on the following monthly deliverables:
• Maintain valid professional credentials and licensure required for practice in the State of Florida.
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to licensed staff and/or nurse practitioners.
• Participate in monthly interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Review clinical records for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Approve relevant psychiatric documentation as required.
• Support compliance with agency policies, standards of care, and state regulations.
• Provide consultation on complex clinical cases as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all supervisory and consultative activities.
Selection Criteria
Minimum: M.D. from an accredited Medical school and graduation from an Accredited Residency Program in Psychiatry Required:
1. Board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry;
2. Experience in an outpatient community setting working intensively with patients with serious mental illness and substance abuse;
3. Multidisciplinary team experience;
4. Must have a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
Must be licensed (or licensable) to practice medicine in the State of Florida and be eligible to take examination of the American Board of Psychiatry and must have a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license.
